Business Development Manager UK (m/f/d)

As part of our international team of Business Development Managers, you will manage and further develop the regional INTERTEC Sales Office in the UK. You will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for INTERTEC products within the UK for both international projects and the domestic market.

Sales activities are concentrated, but not restricted to, at the international Engineering Contractors (EPCs) and local OEMs/Skid Builders.

  • Development of the UK market for INTERTEC products, including heaters, enclosures, cabinets, shelters, soft instrument covers and complete system solutions. Market development can be done either through direct customer contact or through an agent network.
  • Acting as an ambassador towards the market, maintaining relationships, growing revenue, and promoting our product portfolio
  • Developing strategies for the domestic markets in the UK for the complete INTERTEC product line: Renewables, Hydrogen, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Smart City, Airport, Railway and many more.
  • Development and follow-up on the sales activities of INTERTEC's resellers for the local MRO market.
  • Development of commercial initiatives, participating in strategy formulation, detecting market opportunities, and generating business leads.
  • Tracking down of and follow-up on major global projects with the EPC contractors in the UK.
  • Specification work, chasing RFQs for INTERTEC-related materials.
  • Providing forecasts and market and sales planning information, and reporting to the Director of Business Development & Marketing 
  • You will work closely with Project Managers and a Design- & Engineering team in Germany to match product offerings and support to specific customer needs, requirements, and applications.
  • Building contacts and maintaining a relationship with UK Engineering Contractors on all levels, for major capital international projects.
  • You will be supported for quotations and product management by the local office in the UK and the HQ in Germany.


  • An engineering degree or similar with a commercial background. Any affinity or experiences with instrumentation/analytical systems are an advantage.
  • An independent and hands-on attitude. Able to work by yourself and to manage all sales activities and daily work. The job will be done out of the Business Development Manager’s home office.
  • Understanding of Sales Procedures at EPCs for international capital projects.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK on a regular base, as much as required for proper sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel to Germany for intensive product training.
