Dr. Joachim Hess founded the company in 1965. At the time, he recognised the problems of inadequate protective equipment for electrical technology. Whether due to extreme temperatures, the ingress of dirt or the risk of explosion, negligent or missing protection significantly jeopardises the entire system. Plant and occupational safety also suffer as a result. 

Carefully designed protection solutions provide a solution, as they ensure a longer, low-maintenance service life. This in turn leads to significantly lower operating and maintenance costs.
