Special applications

The SL SLIMTHERM electric heater is characterized by a particularly flat design. It is used in hazardous areas, when heating power is required but only little space is available. The flat side of the heater is designed to be attached to surfaces (metal) and to heat them by conduction. The ribbed side is also used as a convection heater to heat the ambient air.

This self-limiting electric heater is mounted to valve blocks, measuring instruments, control valves, etc – either directly or with a DIN rail. It heats these devices by thermal conduction and automatically adjusts its operating voltage. Therefore, this type of frost protection or temperature maintenance is simple, reliable, energy and space saving.

SMART BLOCKTHERM is a system consisting of an explosion-proof electric heater and a microprocessor. It regulates the setpoint temperature or air temperature in protective boxes and cabinets as well as limiting the surface temperature of the heater. SMART HEATER systems are particularly suitable for demanding heating tasks in hazardous areas, especially for maintaining the temperature of analytical equipment at high temperatures.

The SMART FLUID HEATER system is specifically designed to heat liquids and gases in hazardous areas. The system consists of one or more FLATTHERM contact heaters made of aluminum, which enclose a pipe and thus form an electrical heat exchanger. The intrinsically safe temperature sensor is located at the liquid outlet and can therefore control the temperature very precisely with a short reaction time.
