HYBRICOOL is an active cooling unit that is used to increase the overall cooling capacity of passive cooling systems. Alternatively, HYBRICOOL can be used as a backup for passive cooling systems. As usual at INTERTEC, HYBRICOOL is also suitable for high industrial requirements and extreme environmental conditions.
INTERTEC completely designs, manufactures and mounts the HYBRICOOL cooling unit to the outside wall of a cabinet or shelter, for example a PERI SHELTER. This cooler is designed for low maintenance and constant performance with low wear and tear: The housing is made of our proven, corrosion-resistant glass-fiber reinforced polyester. The cyclonic sand separator in the air inlet minimizes the penetration of sand and spray water. The air outlet is equipped with flaps, so that no dust can penetrate the unit when the cooler is not in operation.

Operating principle
The unit works on the principle of vapor-compression refrigeration, which is also found in refrigerators. The unit consists of the four main components compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator (heat exchanger). The internal and external components are fully protected to ensure that no harmful and corrosive substances can enter the cabinet/shelter. The condenser in the external circuit is coated with a corrosion protection layer against aggressive media. Due to the direct heat transfer to the water reservoir, no condensation or ice formation will occur in the cooler.
